At 1st Down Trading Cards, we are committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and respect for the collector community. The following policies outline how we handle buying, selling, and trading cards to ensure a fair and trustworthy experience for everyone.
BUYING FROM US
When purchasing cards from 1st Down Trading Cards, we strive to provide clear descriptions and accurate images so collectors know exactly what they are receiving.
Card Condition
All cards are described to the best of our ability and photographed when applicable. Minor imperfections may occur due to manufacturing or handling during packaging. Buyers are encouraged to review all images and descriptions before purchasing.
We are committed to maintaining a high-quality inventory. Cards offered for sale are selected based on condition, with preference given to clean, well-preserved cards free from creases, heavy wear, or damage. Mint and near-mint cards are especially valued, and graded cards are prioritized due to their certified quality and authenticity.
Payment
Payment must be completed before orders are processed or shipped. Accepted payment methods will be listed at checkout.
Shipping
Orders are processed within 3 - 5 days after payment confirmation.

Cards are packaged carefully using protective sleeves, top loaders, and secure shipping materials to help preserve the condition of each card.

Tracking information will be provided when available.
Returns
​Due to the collectible nature of trading cards and the frequent fluctuations in market value, all sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or price adjustments once a purchase has been completed.

Prices may change based on market conditions. If the value of an item decreases after purchase, refunds or credits for the difference will not be issued.

We appreciate your understanding, as these policies help ensure fairness and consistency for all collectors.
Mispacks, Misprints, and Manufacturing Issues
All of our trading card products are brand new and factory sealed to ensure authenticity and quality.

If you experience any issues such as mispacks, misprints, or other manufacturing defects, we recommend contacting the product’s manufacturer directly. They are best equipped to assist and provide resolution for these types of issues.
SELLING CARDS TO US
To maintain a strong and high-quality selection for our customers, we follow the guidelines below when sourcing and purchasing cards:
Value Threshold
We focus on cards valued at $5 or more to ensure an efficient and mutually beneficial process.
Junk Era (1980 - 2000)
We generally do not purchase cards from the 1980–2000 period due to high production volume and limited demand. Exceptions may be made for graded cards of Hall of Famers or iconic players, such as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant.
No Full Sets
We do not purchase complete card sets. Our focus is on individual cards that meet our condition and value standards.
Cards Only
At this time, we do not purchase memorabilia or other collectibles.
Duplicates
If we already have multiple copies of a particular card, offers may be adjusted accordingly.
TRADING CARDS WITH US
Collectors interested in selling or trading cards with us are welcome to reach out with details about the cards they wish to submit.
At our core, we believe trading should be fair, transparent, and rewarding for every collector. We pride ourselves on offering competitive value for your collection, with offers of 60% cash or 70% in store credit, based on current market conditions.
Our valuation process is open and straightforward, ensuring you receive the honest value your collection deserves. We’re committed to making every trade a positive and seamless experience.

All trades and purchase offers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and final values are determined based on factors such as condition, demand, and market trends. Both parties must agree on the value of the cards involved before any transaction is finalized.
